Ivor Hughes received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Bradford University in the UK where he worked in the telecommunications and aerospace industry. He was lured to the USA by the cutting edge technology of this industry, where he has been responsible for a number of electronic system designs on which he hold several patents. He is a member of the Antique Wireless Association and has written a number of articles on wireless and telegraph history as well as made presentations on Professor Hughes. He lives with his wife in Monkton, Vermont<\/p>\n
David Ellis Evans (1942-2024) lived in the house where he was born in Druid, near Corwen North Wales, a stone’s throw from the spot where Professor Hughes is said to have been born. He worked locally throughout his career, mostly in purchasing and materials management in an engineering environment. He had a strong interest in local and family history and was a first language Welsh speaker, which was invaluable when researching some Hughes material.<\/p>\n
