Rhea Hollis Atwood, writer, independent historian and lecturer, has given walking tours and lectures about Boston’s French landmarks for many organizations including the French Library and Cultural Center\/Alliance Fran\u00e7aise of Boston and Cambridge, and the Bostonian Society. She has has written feature articles on Beacon Hill’s historic sites for the Beacon Hill Times and on Boston’s French heritage for the French Chamber of Commerce newsletter. She is also the author of Upper Beacon Hill (Arcadia Publishing, 2002.)<\/p>\n

Atwood’s love of travel has taken her throughout Europe, to Russia, Israel, and India, to eastern and northern Africa, and also to the Caribbean. Atwood studied French culture and language at the New York University Center, was a resident of Boston from 1992 to 2002, and now lives in California.<\/p>\n
